Note: The Persons Module is not for creating backend users. The module is used to create persons entities, for use in other modules in the backend, so their information can be in one common location, to be displayed in the frontend of the website.
The Persons Module is located in the left side of the Web Engine backend interface. It is used to manage (Add, Update, Disable, Enable, Delete) person records for the system in the other modules:
- Website: used in the avatar block (President, Director and all roles in the Division, Union, Conference, etc.)
- Entity: used as the entity contact
- Hope Channel: person could be a Host, Panelist, etc.
- Sermons: can be used as the Preacher in the Sermons module
Persons may have various roles across entities or within the same entity.
Adding a person
- Click on the Persons module title. (list of persons opens to the right)
- Click on the "Add person" button.
- Fill out the fields required and the other fields as you need them for your use case:
- First name
- Last name
- Avatar (1x1 .jpg image. 1600px X 1600px don't make the image too small)
- Click on "Save" button
- Success message should appear
After adding a person you can:
- Click on Edit person to add more information (roles, etc.)
- Click on Create person to add another person
- Click on Back to persons list, to go to the persons list
Note: Depending on the context, you may need to add Roles to the Person. Do this by editing the Person and clicking on the Roles tab.
Editing a person
- Click on the Persons module title. (list of persons opens to the right)
- Locate the person you need to edit in the list
- Click on the persons name
- Update the fields as required
- Note: Depending on the context, you may need to add Roles to the Person. Do this by editing the Person and clicking on the Roles tab. Then click on "Add role" button to add a role. Or click on the delete icon to remove a role.
- Click on "Save" button for the section updated
Disable or Delete a person
If it is necessary to disable or delete a person from the Persons module, this can be done from the Persons List.
- Click on the Persons module
- Locate the Person in the list
- Click on either the "i" information icon or the 3 dots in the Actions column for the person who needs to be updated.
- From the options choose "Disable" or "Delete" button as needed.
- Confirm action in the modal popup window
