Events module setup in the backend (READ FIRST)

Overview

Once the website is set up, if the entity has events they would like to publish on their website, the Events module can be set up for sharing those events.


Note: Currently the articles will cover the basic setup of the module for sharing events online. Online reservations will be covered in a future article. A 3rd party registration tool can be utilized if needed, redirecting interested visitors from the event detail page to the 3rd party application used by the entity.


How to


The following areas need to be set up, before creating events:

  • Organizers
  • Regions
  • Categories


Once these sections are completed, the events can be created. Events will be displayed on the website by the use of frontend blocks that are specifically programmed for Events.
