Media Library module overview (read first)

Overview

Once a website is setup, if the entity has a media library (videos, podcasts) that they would like to publish on their website, the media library module can be setup for sharing that content.


The Media library module is the connection to where the video and/or audio files are stored for your entity. The media library allows one to add additional metadata to the shows and episodes, for displaying on the frontend of the website.


The media library can connect with the following:

  • Jetstream
  • YouTube
  • Vimeo


Hope Channel partners can publish the following to the Hope Channel App:

  • Livestream
  • Livestream Schedule
  • Video on Demand
  • Collections


Note: There is a template website for partners who wish to receive a clone and reduce website setup time.

Note: If possible, it is recommended to use Jetstream for the CDN to hold content. If Jetstream will be used, please schedule a demo and start the process to obtain an account.


How to


The Media Library module is comprised of the following parts:

  • Channels
  • Shows
  • Episodes (videos or/and podcasts)
  • Hosts & Guests (optional)


Once the media library is setup, its content can be displayed on the website pages by the use of frontend blocks that are specifically programmed for media library elements. The pages for the elements will need to be setup in a specific order as detailed in Adding media library pages to a website (see link below).
