Overview / Concept
This article covers what to do with a cloned website, to update the content and make sure that ties to the original website have been updated for the new website.
When a website is cloned, the website is actually copied and a new website is created. At this time, we should make sure that the website content and settings are updated
Note! If you receive a clone in a language other than the language you need it in, please see note on translation below
How to steps
Check submodules below the website
- If you do not see a submodule, ask your administrator to check these for you

Website Appearance
Web module > Website > Appearance (check all fields for all tabs)
Check the website logo, meta data, etc. to reflect the new branding or entity.
Website Settings

Web module > Website > Settings (check all fields for all tabs)
- General
- Name
- Title
- Logo
- Description
- Language (Update if required)
- Flags
- Remove any flags, if you are using them
- Notifications
- Remove any notifications, if you are using them
- Translations
- Remove any translations. Rebuild later
- Advanced
- Template settings
- Scripts
- Google Tag Manager
- Built-in Analytics
- RSS Feed
- E-Mail settings
Check all the website pages (backend)
Note: The List varies with the website cloned and what functionality it had.
Things to look for:
- List view pages (news, shows) have correct detail view pages
- Detail pages are configured for any block listing articles, shows, episodes, etc.
- Media libraries, articles, events, etc. are properly referenced on the new website
Check all the website pages (frontend)
- Review cloned website frontend.
- Ensure everything is working correctly.
- Look for frontend blocks that may be pointing to resources for the other website!
